"The Ideal Cape Cod Cottage"

This cottage is wonderful. Everything was thought of to make our stay a comfortable one. It is adorably decorated in the Cape Cod style. The cottage is a couple steps from the beach with an ocean view from the upper deck. The National Sea Shore is about a 10 minute car ride. We stayed here with our three year old who had a wonderful time and the accommodations made for an easy vacation with a child. Everything was just as promised and more. The owners are professional and friendly. The rental transaction was flawless. We plan to return next year.

"Leap of Faith"

My husband, daughter and I decided to travel to the Cape this year with my sister and her family. For weeks, I researched various rentals for our 2 families, and knew Blue Skies on the Half Shell was the perfect cottage for my family the minute I found it. Never having rented a home before, ESPECIALLY online, I was extremely apprehensive. My first few exchanges with Sue, the owner, were via email, but once I was certain we wanted the rental, I called Sue to alleviate my fears of renting online. Sue was wonderful to talk to, and I felt very confident in my decision after our conversation. Well, never did any of us expect to find such a treasure when we arrived at the cottage. The colors and furnishings were fresh, clean, and inviting. It was exactly how I would want my home to look! A cool breeze kept the house comfortable at night, and fans were provided to use during the day. From the deck we watched the sunset each evening and stargazed at night. The location was a mere steps from the bay, which we loved, and yet the property was so private! Our entire week was a blast! Take advantage of this awesome rental. It won't disappoint!

"The Best Little Cottage on the Cape"

Location was key when my family was choosing a cottage to rent, and this one was perfect for us. My kids were able to walk to the beach unescorted because it was one minute away and they didn't have to cross any streets. Beyond that, the house itself was very clean, well-maintained, fully outfitted and creatively decorated, so it was the perfect home-away-from-home for my family of four. We can hardly wait to go back again next summer. After two visits my kids are calling it "their" house!

"Charming Newly Renovated Cottage in Great Location"

My family rented this cottage for a week at the end of the summer and found it to be just what we were looking for. The owner was very good about being in touch and answering any questions we had and making sure we had a good stay. The cottage is newly renovated and very tastefully decorated, with every amenity you could need. It's a cozy space and we felt right at home! The fact that the cottage has an enclosed porch and an elevated deck is fantastic, and we found ourselves spending a lot of time sitting on both. The other wonderful thing about this cottage is its location. It's steps away from the beach, which makes it very easy to do more swimming, exploring the beach and reading. It's also nice that the cottage is located halfway between Orleans and Wellfleet, so you can drive to get groceries and run errands, but you're not too far away from Wellfleet's adorable shops and amazing restaurants. The Mass Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary is also very close by and great for nature walks and bird watching. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others. You won't be disappointed!

"Charming is the Word"

My husband and I loved our time at Blue
Skies... We liked the charm of the cottage and its location: tucked
amongst the trees but only a few minutes' walk to the water. The
cottage was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all tools and
appliances needed and then some. The front porch was delightful for
time "out of the sun" and the upstairs deck perfect for watching sunsets
and stars!!
We will definitely be returning!
